Company Background

TexAg Real Estate Services, Inc. was incorporated in 1985 and is located in Georgetown, Texas. The company’s founder, Larry Kokel, has been licensed in Texas as a real estate broker since 1980.

The TexAg team consists of Larry Kokel as broker and Ron Leps as a salesperson. Larry Kokel has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Texas A&M University. Larry received his Master’s degree in 1976 with an emphasis in real estate, working as a graduate research assistant for the Real Estate Research Center at Texas A&M in 1975 and 1976. Larry was employed as an appraiser with the Texas General Land Office from 1977 through 1983. In 1983, Larry started Kokel Appraisal Associates, specializing in land appraisal throughout Texas. Larry has worked with sellers and buyers on land transactions throughout his real estate career.

Ron Leps has a Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and a Master’s degree from Texas A&M University. Ron began his career with Round Rock ISD and joined the Cooperative Extension Service in 1979. Ron served as County Extension Agent in Montgomery, Falls, and Williamson Counties. Ron and his family moved to Williamson County in 1985, and he retired in 2006, receiving the Professor Emeritus Honor. Having lived and served landowners in Central Texas for 30 years, Leps understands the historical growth and development of Williamson and surrounding counties and has advised landowners in the use of farms and ranches. In addition to his real estate career, Ron Leps has a consulting base of 100,000 acres of intensive livestock production.

David Oberrender, Wendell Wood, and Michael Mays are each licensed real estate brokers in Texas and are partners with Larry in the valuation firm of Kokel-Oberrender-Wood Appraisal, Ltd. David, Wendell, and Michael assist in representing sellers and buyers seeking specific real estate objectives and provide critical consultation and representation to TexAg clients.
Additional staff assists in clerical, research, and mapping functions of the operation. A solid foundation in real property valuation allows the TexAg team to represent buyers and sellers in a variety of real property transactions with a strong focus on customer service and professionalism.
